Patricia K. Simpson is an Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Gulfport office. Patti received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Mississippi State University. She attended the Mississippi College School of Law wherein she was a member of the Mississippi College Law Review, recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Torts II, a member of Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity and an honors graduate.
Prior to joining the District Attorney’s Office in January of 2012, Patti had an extensive civil litigation practice for 20 years. Specializing in medical malpractice litigation, Patti’s clients included Memorial Hospital at Gulfport and Hancock Medical Center (now known as Oschner’s). Her practice also included insurance defense, wrongful death cases and defense of governmental agencies, including but not limited to the Jackson Police Department, the City of Jackson, and the Walthall County Sheriff’s Department.
Patti has served as an instructor for the Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy and the Hancock County Law Enforcement Reserve Training Academy for many years. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the Mississippi Prosecutors Association, and the National District Attorneys Association.
