The role of the District Attorney's Office is to prosecute and defend for the State, in all courts of the County, all cases, criminal or civil, arising under the provisions of the law. This department also handles matters such as recovering monies from returned checks. The mission of the District Attorney’s Office is to pursue justice and protect the people of Harrison, Hancock and Stone County by aggressively and fairly prosecuting those who violate the law.
