Christopher Werner serves as an Investigator with the Gulfport Office of the District Attorney for the Second Circuit Court District of Mississippi, where he is responsible for supporting the prosecution of felony cases through detailed investigative work and case development.

With a law enforcement career beginning in 2008 and progressing through local and federal assignments, he brings extensive experience in criminal investigations, intelligence analysis, and evidence-based case preparation.

His background includes service as a Task Force Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration and leadership roles within the Gulfport Police Department, where he served as a Detective Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division and later as Lieutenant and Officer in Charge of the Special Operations Division.

In these roles, he directed complex investigations involving violent crime, narcotics trafficking, and organized criminal activity. His progression from patrol operations to major case investigations and federal task force assignments provides a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice process from initial response through prosecution.

He is a graduate of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Command College at the University of Mississippi and holds certification as a homicide investigator from the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville.
