JASMINE MAGEE

Jasmine Magee is an Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Gulfport office. She attended The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg where she graduated magna cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Political Science in 2012.

Jasmine graduated, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2016, earning her juris doctor. While in law school, Jasmine was twice awarded the Outstanding Student Award for exemplary performance in Legal Research and Writing. She also served as education co-chair for the Constance Slaughter-Harvey Chapter of the Black Law Students Association and was an active member of the Trial Advocacy Board.

In addition to being a member of the Mississippi Bar, where she previously served as the Director of the Coast I area for the Young Lawyers Division and currently serves on the Diversity Committee, Jasmine is also a member of the Mississippi Prosecutors Association, where she has served as Director for District 2 and Vice Chair of the Awards Committee; the Harrison County Bar Association, where she currently serves as the President; the Harrison County Young Lawyers Association, and the Magnolia Bar Association. Jasmine was recently awarded the 2024 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Mississippi. Recipients exemplify the degree of ethical, moral, and professional standards that serve as a standard of the lawyer’s place in society.

She was also awarded the 2025 Prosecutor of the Year at the 3rd Annual Mississippi Public Safety Summit, an event connecting hundreds of law enforcement officers, prosecutors, firefighters, first responders, and other workers who keep our people safe and our communities secure.
